In the city council meeting Monday, council motioned to override Mayor Kim Wolfe’s veto on the council's approved ordinance on limiting the mayor’s spending power.
The council did not have enough votes to overturn the mayor’s veto.
Also council proposed several resolutions authorizing the mayor to apply for grants.
Members turned down the grant on behalf of the fire fighter department on account there was not enough room in the budget.
The police chef was also present to update council on the new technology being implemented into law enforcement due to the 2010 new technology grant.
Also city employee’s brought an issue concerning layoffs before council.
